Federico Albanese’s “Your Spell” was written and produced – just like the entirety of his forthcoming album “Blackbirds and the Sun of October” – in the area of Monferrato, the hills of Piedmont.

“I was skeptical that it was too beautiful for me to grasp anything out of it,” he says about the nature of northern Italian countryside. “How can I be able to produce beauty when I have so much already around me?”

“The reality of it, it was the opposite – I was truly inspired and at some point along the way, I don’t remember exactly where, I felt like I was under a spell. This place was magical.” says Federico Albanese of his new single.
