Ed Carlsen shares new single Drawn Ashore

Drawn Ashore is the next single out of Ed Carlsen’s upcoming album Grains of Gold.

In early 2020, the Italian composer, musician, and producer moved to Hamburg. His mood was informed not just by the emotion of starting anew in an unfamiliar place, but the unease of lockdown and the sense of dread enveloping the world. This all bled into Drawn Ashore. “I was thinking that, with everything going on, I always had the option of going back to Sardinia – back to my roots,” says Carlsen. “That was very comforting for me, being drawn to the Sardinian Sea.”

Grains of Gold is a masterful collection of ambient electronica full of epic soundscapes and softly billowing crescendos and will be out on September 17.
