GoGo Penguin join XXIM Records

The trailblazing British trio start a new chapter with the release of their single Ascent 

Today acclaimed Manchester based trio GoGo Penguin announced their signing to Sony Music’s XXIM Records. The announcement comes with the release of a new single, Ascent, the first track of an EP scheduled for later this spring.

Known around the world for their iconic sound and fiery live performances, GoGo Penguin have been pioneers of genre-blending instrumental music for years, with their unique blend of influences from jazz, rock, electronic, and modern classical music.

Ascent marks the beginning of a fresh new chapter for the band. Having undergone, like many of us, a tough time during the pandemic, the band has come out stronger than ever. With the addition of drummer Jon Scott to the lineup, the new label partnership, more new music on the way, and a growing tour schedule, 2022 is set to be an exciting year for GoGo Penguin.

“XXIM is a new label focussing on imaginative and innovative instrumental music which crosses genres so it feels like a natural home for us,” comments pianist Chris Illingworth.
